Like something 

straight out of a movie.

 

Cinetone, a cultural platform for independent screenings, talks, and debuts, needed a brand identity that resonated with its thought-provoking roots. Something that seamlessly amplified cross-regional representation and still had a unique voice of its own. So, we chalked out the brief – global in thought, homegrown at heart – and got to action on the brand’s identity, pitch decks, social media launch, and event launch.

We wanted to energise this segment of the creative industry with something fresh and authentic. And so the clapper-board inspired identity was born. Using the tilted form of the tool, we created a logo composition that showed movement and versatility. Paired with a distinctly bold sans serif font, we established this direct yet subtle logomark.

Then, we extended the identity using the same oblique lines from the logo into design elements – a frame to put into focus films across all genres. The look and feel grew from here with warm pastels, modern typography pairings, and adaptable social media templates. Using this visual system, we designed their Instagram launch and pitch decks too.

For their event launch and first screening, Night Show, our team took charge of location scouting, technical arrangements, and overall production. This double–film show gained attention quickly from enthusiasts alike, resulting in a community–driven event that paved the way for Cinetone’s year-round IP. 

And that’s how we made this cinematic universe happen, all in one take.
